Scandinavia-Japan Sasakawa Foundation

The Scandinavia-Japan Sasakawa Foundation has funded research, studies and cultural exchange between the Nordic countries and Japan since 1984. Over the years, nearly 10,000 students, researchers, artists and institutions across six countries have received grants and scholarships.

We extended their visual identity into the digital space and designed a new website from the ground up. The goal was a site that feels as alive as the exchange it supports: more interactive, more inspiring, and built around the people behind the grants. Stories from past grantees and their projects show what the support makes possible, and encourage others to apply.
